#THE OFFICIAL ESP32 BOOK UPDATE#
My plan is to continue to update this work as we all learn more and share what we find in the community forums. This book uses a Geekcreit ESP32 Development Board. Although many expensive development boards are offered (between 10 and 30 euros). In addition, the ESP32 is not (much) more expensive than the ESP8266. In addition to Wi-Fi, the ESP32 also offers Bluetooth.

Rather than keep them to myself, I offer them to all of us in the ESP8266 community in the hope that they will be of some value. Since the end of 2016, the ESP32 has become available as a successor to the ESP8266. This book is my collated and polished version of those notes. As I studied the device, I started to make notes and my pages of notes continued to grow and grow. The best source of information was (and still is) the official PDFs for the SDK from Espressif (the makers of the ESP8266) but even that is quite "light" on examples and background. If you prefer something text-based and shorter, we have our own ESP32 getting started post. Editor’s Note: We used his ESP8266 book to get started. We haven’t read it, but we do like the videos.
#THE OFFICIAL ESP32 BOOK FOR FREE#
As I started to read what was available in the way of documentation from the excellent community surrounding the device, I found that there were only small pockets of knowledge. Neil also has an ESP32 book out that is one of those deals where you download it for free or pay a small amount for it if you like. I hadn't touched C programming in decades (I'm a Java man these days). When I stumbled across the ESP8266 earlier this year, it piqued my interest. Compared to a regular LCD,E-ink displays are easier on the eyes, which makes them a great choice for reading or viewing for longer periods. Since the end of 2016, the ESP32 has become available as a successor to the ESP8266. Controlled by the ESP32-PICO-D4 This new device includes a 200x200 1.54' Black and White E-ink Display. This book is a follow-up to the previously published book 'The 35 Euro IoT Project' (referred to in this book as 'Part 1'). In my house I am surrounded by computers of all shapes, sizes and capacities … any one of them with orders of magnitude more power than any of these small devices … however, I still found myself fascinated. CoreInk is a brand new E-ink display in the M5Stack cores range. When I bought a Raspberry PI and then an Arduino, I'm afraid I got hooked.

I've been working in the software business for over 30 years but until recently, hadn't been playing directly with Micro Processors.
